Officer Bit in the Face during Arrest

Police officers have one of the toughest and sometimes strangest jobs. One officer in Phoenix, Arizona was hospitalized after a suspect bit him on the face.

According to the police report, the officer was called to a home for a possible domestic violence dispute. When he arrived on the scene, he spoke with the victim and several witnesses. A few moments later the suspect returned to the scene and started a fight with the police officer. Several more officers were called in for backup but not in time to stop the struggle that took place.

Although the officer is expected to make a full recovery from the face bite, he is none too happy about what happened. The suspect was detained not just for possible domestic violence but for assault on a police officer as well. This is not the first time that the suspect has been in trouble, however, as police responded to a similar call earlier this month for the same man.
