Elderly Man Charged with Drug Crimes
Law enforcement officers located in northern Arizona recently reported that they arrested a 74-year-old man for drug crimes. Allegedly, the elderly suspect was busted for transporting the drug methamphetamine. Now, he remains in jail in lieu of $12,000 bond.
When questioned by reporters, officers said that the suspect was charged with crimes such as drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was stopped for a minor traffic offense and during the stop officers noticed that he looked nervous. Their suspicions prompted them to call for a drug detection dog which notified police that there were drugs in the defendant's vehicle. He was placed under arrest shortly thereafter.
