Last Burglary Suspect Caught
Investigators have been working a fatal burglary case since 2009, but are close to seeing their suspects go to trial.
The last man suspected to be involved in the murder of a victim was brought to court last week. The 26-year-old is the only one out of the three suspects to not plead guilty to the charges filed against him. He is now facing the possibility of being convicted on charges of kidnapping, first-degree murder, second-degree burglary, tampering and theft.
Prosecutors were concerned that the case would not go to trial at all when their only witness disappeared. However, the person was located in a different state and brought back to testify. This person will testify against the 26-year-old man, as well as his accomplices, another man and woman, planned the burglary of the victim's home. Although they did not actually harm the victim, he died after they tied him up and left him alone inside the residence.
