Man Found Murdered in Garage
Phoenix police have been kept busy with the murder of a man found in a garage last weekend.
According to police reports Jesus Gustavo Caraveo-Gonzalez, 30, was found shot dead in his garage this past weekend. Witnesses to the murder stated that there were three men and a woman who attempted to rob Caraveo-Gonzalez, then shot him after a fight broke out.
Although it took police hours to locate them, the four suspects have finally been detained: Juanita Portillo, 27; Michael Hernandez, 23; Joe Angel Villareal, 32; and Santos Villareal, 18. After speaking with the suspects, Sgt. Tommy Thompson learned that Caraveo-Gonzalez had worked on Portillo's vehicle at his garage the day before. She decided to return the next day with Hernandez and the Villareals to rob the garage.
The four suspects are currently being held at the Maricopa County Jail on murder and armed robbery charges.
