Four Murder Suspects Identified by Police
The four people involved in the murder of a Phoenix man were named by police this past weekend.
The victim, 30-year-old Jesus Gustavo Caraveo-Gonzalez, was found dead in his own garage near Roosevelt Street and 40th Avenue. He was in the garage with two other men when three men and a woman broke in during a robbery. After speaking with the witnesses, police were able to ascertain the four suspects' identities: Juanita Portillo, 23; Santos Villareal, 18; Joe Angel Villareal, 32; and Michael Hernandez, 23.
Police reports show that a struggle took place during the robbery, leading to the shooting and killing of Caraveo-Gonzalez. The four suspects are now being held on charges of armed robbery and suspicion of murder. Hernandez and Santos Villareal are also being held on weapons charges.
