Two Suspects Arrested in Murder Case
Police in the city of Phoenix have reported that two suspects were placed under arrest for a murder case that was under investigation. The victim of the killing had been walking in a local park when he was killed this past Tuesday evening. Within 24 hours, officers say they had developed sufficient probable cause to arrest two suspects, both 17-year-old males.
Now in police custody, the two suspects are facing homicide charges for the death of the victim, who was 78-years-old. It is said that the victim was a Korean War veteran and also the father to four children.
Officers were called to the park where they found the victim lying unconscious. It is believed that he suffered serious head trauma which led to his passing. When interviewed about the murder, the victim's children said that their father took nightly walks because he cared for his ill wife during the day.
At this time, a motive for the homicide has not been established.
