Police Arrest 22 Year Old for Distributing Graphic Images of Children
Police in Phoenix say that they have arrested a man on Wednesday for using a computer file sharing program to distribute graphic images of young children who were being sexually abused.
Officers say that 22-year-old Jeffrey Eberlein was placed under arrest near his residence at 3:00 PM.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force launched an investigation against Eberlein's in December and served a search warrant at his home where detectives were able to locate criminal evidence.
However, police say the arrest was only made on Wednesday due to the complicated nature of the investigation. While searching the residence, large amounts of images were found. Some of the images are believed to be Internet images and others are unknown.
Eberlein is not employed, but his previous job gave him continued access to numerous young children. Police also learned that a young child had been visiting Eberlein in his home before he was arrested.
