A police officer in Phoenix, Arizona found himself behind bars last week on charges of domestic violence. Initial reports of the incident are alarming and worrisome for the local community. According to the police report, the Phoenix police officer was arrested after his wife accused him of domestic violence. She claims that he hit her in their own home and then discharged his firearm.
This came as a surprise to those who had worked with the 37-year-old suspect for the past five years. Some people close to him are blaming the fact that he just returned from a several-month trip to Afghanistan with the Marine Corps. At this time, the officer is on paid administrative leave until his case has been thoroughly investigated.
