Police Chase Leads to Shooting

When officers discovered that a wanted criminal was staying at a low-rate hotel in Phoenix, they knew that the arrest would not be a simple one. However, they did not think it would end in an officer shooting.

According to the police report, the 28-year-old suspect was approached by a police officer who identified himself as a law enforcement figure to the man. He asked the suspect to stop, but the man just started to walk away.

The suspect then took off on foot and was pursued by the police officer. When the suspect reached for something around his waist, the officer believed that it was a gun and shot the suspect. The shot did not hit the suspect, however, and the man kept running. He was eventually captured by another officer and detained on charges of violent crimes.

Have you been arrested for violent crimes in the state of Arizona? Now is the time to speak with a Phoenix criminal defense attorney about your case. To get legal help, contact the Knowles Law Firm now to set up your initial consultation.
