A man in the state of Arizona faces theft crimes and the wrath of his community for stealing bronze urns from a cemetery. Police had been notified about the theft of several brass urns from a cemetery in El Mirage. While they did not have a suspect at first, their investigation led them to one man who is now believed to have stolen $110,000 worth of urns.
Officers with the metal-theft unit were able to identify and locate the suspect. He is currently behind bars on multiple charges including facilitation, forgery and suspicion of trafficking. Most of the 180 stolen urns were recovered and returned to the funeral home.
