Verbal Confrontation Results in Assault

The beating of a 62-year-old man by another man his junior began with some unwanted advances.

According to the victim, Bonal started to make unwanted advances towards his fiancee at Narcisse Champagne And Tea Lounge in the Scottsdale Quarter. A verbal confrontation led to Bonal being asked to leave the bar; however, he waited for the pair to leave and started to attack the older man. The fiancee ran back upstairs to get help, but when she returned she found her fiance laying unconscious on the ground, having sustained life-threatening head injuries.

He is currently being treated at Scottsdale Health Center Osborn.

Bonal is likely to be charged with one count of aggravated assault. Thanks to eyewitness reports, the police were able to track Bonal down after he fled the scene of the crime.
