Gunman Takes Life of Innocent Bystander

It took six weeks for law enforcement officials to locate the gunman that took the life of a 19-year-old innocent bystander.

The suspect, now identified as Orlando Maurice Nembhard, was discovered in Yonkers, New York. Detectives from Phoenix flew to the east coast to bring Nembhard back to Phoenix where he was booked into Maricopa County Jail for his violent crimes.

The incident took place on Feb. 12 outside of teen night club in Chandler. Nembhard got into an argument with another man and accidentally shot Sir Xavier Brooks, who just happened to be standing nearby. When he saw Brooks try to get away from the scene of the fight, he pulled out a gun and shot him; he then ran away, starting the weeks-long manhunt that ensued.

Now Nembhard faces one charge of second degree murder for the shooting and eventual death of Brooks.
