Three Arrested in Connection with Jackpot Killing
In Phoenix, federal agents in the state of Arizona say that they have arrested a third suspect in connection with the murder of a man who was killed after he won a large jackpot at a Southern California casino.
According to the U.S. Marshal's Service, 26-year-old Michael William Ross was arrested this Saturday morning in Mohave Valley, which is south of Bullhead City.
Authorities say that Ross was inside a Santa Ana, California casino on September 3rd when he spotted the 55-year-old victim, who was cashing a $10,000 jackpot. Ross stands accused of tipping off other defendants about the victim's winnings.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office reports that three defendants have been charged with felony counts of murder during the commission of a robbery, attempted second-degree robbery and second-degree robbery.
At this time, Ross is awaiting extradition back to Arizona and is being kept in police custody.
