Last week Thursday, a man from Greenwood was arrested by police after he led officers on a car and foot chase. Officers say that the man had drugs in his possession.
After the chase, police managed to arrest 20 year old Marlon Tremayne Lenyear. He was charged with failure to stop for a blue light and siren, failure to stop on lawful command, failure to dim lights, simple drug possession and driving under suspension.
Police say that an officer was on patrol at 1 AM when a Cadillac driven by Lenyear passed without dimming its high beam lights. The officer turned on his sirens and attempted to stop the car, but Lenyear continued to drive without stopping. He then led the officer on a foot chase, which resulted in his arrest.
