This week, a 45-year-old woman from Phoenix posted bond and was released after being arrested Saturday morning in Carson County. Police say that the woman had 151 pounds of marijuana in her vehicle.
According to troopers, Carla Grayson was stopped at 11:15 AM for failing to signal a lane change by operating her Nissan eastbound about 1 mile east of Conway. Grayson denied giving troopers consent to search her car, but canine alerted officers of the presence of controlled substances.
After searching Grayson's car, police found 151 pounds of marijuana, which would have been valued at $49,075. The drugs were hidden inside of her truck.
Grayson was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail on a charge of possession of marijuana, which is a second-degree felony. She later posted $20,000 bond and was released.
